Service
The Green Hosting Co. provides web hosting services, domain registration, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Acceptable Use
By using our Services, you agree to comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which governs your use of the Services and ensures a fair, secure, and environmentally responsible environment for all users.
Accounts, Ordering Services & Contracts
To order our Services, you will need to create an account with The Green Hosting Co. You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during the registration process.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer or device. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
By ordering services through our website, you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and that you are at least 18 years old.
If you are ordering on behalf of a company or other business, you further warrant that you personally have the authority to bind that company or business on whose behalf you are placing an order.
Upon placing an order with The Green Hosting Co., you will receive an email from us acknowledging your order and, if applicable, confirming the activation of the purchased Hosting Service (“Acceptance Confirmation”). It is important to note that your order serves as an offer to purchase our Services, and all orders are subject to our acceptance.
The Contract between you and The Green Hosting Co. (“Contract”) will be established only when we send you the Acceptance Confirmation. We reserve the right to decline your order for the Services for any reason, and in such cases, we will duly inform you.
The Contract will specifically pertain to the Services confirmed in the Acceptance Confirmation. We shall not be obligated to provide any other Services that might have been part of your order until we have confirmed the availability of such Services.
Pricing and Payment
The prices of our Services are clearly quoted on our website and are exclusive of VAT.
Before submitting your order for the Services, the total cost of your order will be clearly presented to you.
Prices are subject to change, and in the event of a price increase, we will notify you at least 14 days before the new prices come into effect. If you do not cancel, you will be deemed to have accepted the new prices, and they will be charged to your account.
While we make every effort to ensure accurate pricing, errors may occur. In such cases:
- If the correct price for a Service is lower than the stated price, we will charge the lower amount when accepting your order.
- If the correct price for a Service is higher than the price stated on our website, we will contact you for instructions before accepting your order.
- We are not obligated to provide the Services at an incorrect (lower) price, even after sending you an Acceptance Confirmation.
In the event of outstanding amounts owed, we reserve the right to seek recovery through other means, including involving an external debt recovery agent if necessary. In such cases, you may become liable for additional fees and charges, which you agree to pay along with the outstanding amount owed to us.
Payment time is of the essence, and payment will not be considered received until we have received cleared funds. If your chosen payment method is not authorised by your credit card provider or bank, you authorise us to seek payment from any other registered credit card, debit card, or direct debit associated with your account.
Failure to authorise payment may result in the suspension of your account.
Consumer Rights
If you are making a purchase as a consumer (i.e., not in the course of your business), you have the right to cancel the Contract within 14 working days, starting from the day after you receive the Acceptance Confirmation. This right is in accordance with the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013.
It is important to note that by placing your order for the Services, you expressly agree to allow us to commence the supply of those Services before the conclusion of the seven working day cancellation period mentioned above. Therefore, the right to cancel the Contract under the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 will not apply.
Rest assured that this provision does not affect any other statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
Intellectual Property
All content, logos, trademarks, and intellectual property displayed on our website and Services are the property of The Green Hosting Co. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use or reproduce any of our intellectual property without our express written consent.
We acknowledge that you retain all intellectual property rights in the materials you provide, and you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and maintain your materials on our servers and publish them on the Internet solely for the purpose of providing the Hosting Service to you.
By uploading your materials, you warrant that they do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, and you possess the necessary authority to grant us the aforementioned license. We may make copies as required to fulfil our obligations, including creating backups of your materials.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold The Green Hosting Co. harmless against any claims, actions, proceedings, losses, damages, expenses, and costs (including court costs and reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services or any claims or actions that your materials infringe, or allegedly infringe, the intellectual property rights of a third party.
If you download software from our website, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license for the purpose specified on our website concerning that software. This license will automatically terminate when we cease providing the Hosting Services to you.
Any third-party software downloaded from our website will be licensed to you under the standard software license terms provided by the owner of the intellectual property rights in that third-party software at the time of download.
The Green Hosting Co. retains all intellectual property rights in the Hosting Services (except for your materials) and our proprietary software. You are prohibited from decompiling or disassembling the Hosting Services or our software.
Our Money-Back Guarantee
We take pride in offering a money-back guarantee for our Hosting Services. Once the Contract has been formed, you have the option to cancel the Contract in relation to the purchased Hosting Service.
If you decide to cancel within 30 days, starting from the day after you receive the Acceptance Confirmation, you will be eligible for a full refund of the price paid for the Hosting Service you have cancelled. The refund will be issued to the credit card, debit card, or other account you used for the payment. Please note that this money-back guarantee is limited to one per customer.
To initiate the cancellation process, kindly inform us by raising a support ticket before the end of the 30-day period. Upon receiving your cancellation request, we will respond to confirm the cancellation. It is important that you re-confirm your cancellation by replying to this confirmation message. Failure to re-confirm may result in the continued supply of the Hosting Service, rendering your cancellation request ineffective. This process is designed to safeguard any data you wish to retain, ensuring that no valuable information is lost.
While our money-back guarantee extends to most of our Hosting Services, certain services are exempt from cancellation under this provision. These services include, but are not limited to:
- Domain Registration and Domain Registration Renewals.
- Private SSL certificates.
- Virtual Nameservers and other ‘add-on’ products.
- Virtual Private Servers (VPS) and associated products.
Warranty, Service Level & Limitation of Liability
The Green Hosting Co. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use our Services, including but not limited to lost data, loss of profits, or business interruption. Our liability shall be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
At The Green Hosting Co., we strive to provide reliable and efficient services. However, we do not warrant that access to our servers will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nonetheless, we shall make reasonable efforts to minimise downtime and maintain the smooth functioning of our services.
We warrant that, subject to the other provisions of these terms and conditions, any Services purchased from us through our website will be provided with reasonable care and skill.
Our liability for a breach of the above warranty is subject to the following conditions:
- You must provide written notice of the breach to us.
- We must be given a reasonable opportunity to examine our provision of the Services to you after receiving the notice.
- The problem must not arise due to your failure to follow our oral or written instructions on the use of the Services (if any).
- You must not alter the Services without our written consent.
- The problem must not arise due to misuse.
In the event that we are in breach of the warranty, we will make all reasonable commercial efforts to promptly remedy the breach or, alternatively, provide a refund for the price of the Services at a pro rata Contract price.
By accepting these terms, you acknowledge that you have not relied on any statement, promise, or representation made or given by or on our behalf that is not explicitly stated on our website or confirmed in writing by us. This clause does not exclude or limit our liability to you for fraudulent misrepresentation.
In any event, our liability to you for any direct losses arising under or in connection with the Contract shall not exceed the total price paid by you for the Services.
We shall not be liable to you for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising out of or in connection with the Contract.
Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
We recommend that you regularly back up your data to prevent any loss or damage in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
It is recommended that you obtain business interruption insurance or other suitable insurance coverage to safeguard your business in case of any disruption to the Services, especially the Hosting Service. Such insurance can provide valuable protection and financial support during unforeseen events that may impact your business operations. Taking this proactive measure can help you mitigate potential risks and ensure the continuity of your business activities even during challenging circumstances.
Hosting Service Usage Limitations
The Hosting Service package you choose includes a per calendar month bandwidth allowance as specified on our website at the time of your order.
In the event that your monthly bandwidth usage exceeds the allocated allowance, the Hosting Service will be automatically suspended. Should this happen, you have the option to upgrade your Hosting Service package to one with a higher monthly bandwidth allowance or wait for the Hosting Service to resume at the start of the following calendar month. You can easily monitor your monthly bandwidth usage through our control panel.
If your Hosting Service package does not include a virtual private server, you are allowed to utilise up to a maximum of 10% of our server’s processing capacity while using the Hosting Service.
We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to allow your usage to exceed this CPU limitation. However, we will communicate with you regarding your hosting requirements if your usage has a detrimental effect on our other customers.
The number of mailboxes included in the Hosting Service package is specified on our website at the time of your order.
Any mailboxes that remain inactive for 100 consecutive days will be automatically deleted from our system.
As a user of our Services, you must adhere to our Terms of Website Use and Acceptable Use Policy. In the event of any conflict between our terms of website use and these terms and conditions, these terms and conditions will prevail.
A breach of either the Website Terms of Use or the Acceptable Use Policy may result in the termination of the Services provided to you.
Indemnification
As a user of The Green Hosting Co.’s services, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of our Hosting Services.
- Any content you upload, publish, or distribute through our servers.
- Any breach of these terms and conditions or violation of applicable laws and regulations.
- Any infringement of third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, by your use of our services.
We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you. In such cases, you agree to cooperate with us in asserting any available defences.
This indemnification clause shall survive the termination or expiration of the Contract and your use of our services.
Domain Names
We offer domain registration services, allowing you to secure and manage domain names for your website or online presence.
When registering a domain through The Green Hosting Co., you agree to comply with the terms and conditions of the relevant domain registry governing the specific top-level domain (TLD) you choose. These terms are in addition to our general terms and conditions.
The registration of a domain name is subject to availability and the rules set forth by the respective domain registry. We cannot guarantee the availability of a specific domain name, and its registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information during the domain registration process. Failure to provide correct information may result in the domain registration being voided or suspended.
Domain registrations are typically set for a specific period, and it is your responsibility to renew your domain before its expiration date.
We will send renewal reminders to the email address associated with your account, but it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure timely renewal to avoid the loss of your domain name.
We recommend enabling auto-renewal for your domain(s) to ensure uninterrupted ownership. By opting for auto-renewal, you authorise us to charge the applicable renewal fee to your chosen payment method.
You may have the option to transfer an existing domain name from another registrar to The Green Hosting Co.
The transfer process may vary depending on the TLD and the policies of the domain registry involved. Some transfers may require an authorization code (EPP code), while others may have additional requirements or restrictions.
Transfers may take several days to complete, and during this period, the domain may experience temporary downtime or limited functionality. You should carefully consider the timing of the transfer to minimise any potential impact on your website or services.
You are the legal owner of any domain name registered through The Green Hosting Co. during the active registration period, as long as all applicable fees are paid on time.
It is essential to maintain accurate and up-to-date contact information for your domain registration. Changes to domain contact details can be made through your account control panel.
You are responsible for ensuring that your contact information is correct to receive important communications related to your domain(s).
In the event of a domain dispute, including but not limited to trademark issues or domain name disputes, we will comply with the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) or any other dispute resolution procedures prescribed by the relevant domain registry.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Green Hosting Co. against any claims, demands, or legal actions arising from the registration or use of your domain name(s).
Failure to comply with our general terms and conditions or the terms set forth by the domain registry may result in the suspension or cancellation of your domain registration.
If your domain registration is suspended or cancelled, you may lose access to your website, email services, and other domain-related features.
If you fail to renew your domain before its expiration date, it may enter a redemption period, during which it can be recovered at an additional cost. After the redemption period, the domain may be released and made available for registration by others.
We are not liable for any loss or damages arising from the expiration or release of your domain name.

The Green Hosting Co. shall not be held liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in the performance of, our contractual obligations under the Contract that is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, termed as “Force Majeure Event.”
A Force Majeure Event includes but is not limited to any act, event, non-happening, omission, or accident that is beyond our reasonable control. Such events may include, among others:
- – Misuse, alteration, or interference by you or any third party with our servers or systems, including virus and hacker attacks.
- – Strikes, lock-outs, or other industrial actions.
- – Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack, or threats of terrorist attacks, war (whether declared or not), or preparations for war.
- – Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic, or other natural disasters.
- – Impossibility of using public or private telecommunications networks.
- – Acts, decrees, legislation, regulations, or restrictions imposed by any government.
During the continuation of a Force Majeure Event, The Green Hosting Co.’s performance under the Contract will be considered suspended, and we shall be granted an extension of time to fulfill our obligations for the duration of such an event. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve the Force Majeure Event promptly and seek alternatives to perform our contractual obligations despite the ongoing Force Majeure Event.
Deletion of Your Data
When you choose to cancel your Services with The Green Hosting Co., please be aware that any data associated with the Services you have cancelled will be promptly and permanently deleted from our system.
To safeguard your important data, we strongly recommend that you create suitable backups of your information before initiating the cancellation process. Once the cancellation is completed, the data will no longer be accessible or retrievable from our servers.
Back-Ups
It is your responsibility to ensure that you maintain appropriate and up-to-date back-up copies of any data, information, or other material you upload onto our servers as part of your use of the Hosting Services. The Green Hosting Co. provides free tools in our control panels to facilitate website and database backups. Please note that in the event of any loss of or damage to your material, you will not be granted access to the server back-up maintained by us as part of our archiving procedure.
Any loss, destruction, alteration, or disclosure of your material caused by you or any third party will not be the responsibility of The Green Hosting Co.
